Body of missing Joplin man believed still in Grand Lake-No foul play is suspected in the case of a Joplin man who presumably fell from a boat and drowned. By SHEILA STOGSDILL World Correspondent
GROVE - Grand River Dam Authority Police Chief Brian Edwards believes no foul play is associated with the disappearance of a man who is thought to have drowned after apparently falling out of his boat a year ago.
Michael Shane Chapman, 40, of Joplin, Mo., has been missing since Jan. 27, 2013. His boat was recovered near the Sail Boat Bridge area the following day.
"This incident remains an open case for the GRDA police, and we still do search for Mr. Chapman," Edwards said.
