Obituary: Sawyer Anne Mackenzie Cox - Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Tahlequah, OK

Wagoner, OK-Memorial services for Sawyer Cox will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Bishop Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Buzzard Cemetery in Grove, OK at 2:00 PM. Services are under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Pall Bearers for Sawyer include Zac Cox, Anthony Howard, Jesse Keys, Damon Sheley, Eli Maez, and KJ Bolding. Honorary Pall Bearers include Jamie Wood, Leon Bolding, Johnny Lamon, Paul Martinez, Carden Crow, and David Wasson. This world was blessed on June 9, 1994, by the appearance of Sawyer Anne Mackenzie Cox. Christie Cox claimed the honor of giving birth to the talented and beautiful spirit, and Zac Cox stood lovingly beside his little sister through life. Charmingly gifted musically, artistically, and inspirationally, Sawyer, belonged to no one person, but had a huge family following; Mona Cox & the late John Cox; John Cox, wife Carolyn, and John Jr.; Ray Moore; Lucille and Tommy Moore; Godmother Sophia Sweeney; Tina Gordan; Brianna Keohane; Wolfgang Wischmann; and many others who cared deeply for her. Sawyer attended school at Grandview, Sadler Arts Academy in Muskogee, and Wagoner. Sawyer was a very open minded person and a very free spirit. There is no one in the world that could ever compare to the type person Sawyer was. She was the type of person that knew what she wanted and would do anything to get it. She was a caring friend, a loving daughter, and a devoted sister. She will forever be imprinted in all our hearts and minds. We will never forget the impact she left on this world and those who cared for her. She will be sorely missed by all those she touched and affected in the past sixteen years. Sawyer Anne Mackenzie will forever be inside all our hearts for eternity and no one will ever be able to take that away from us.
