Obituary: Barbara Christine (McKee) Helms - Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove, OK
MAY 25, 1939 ~ MARCH 9, 2008 (AGE 68)
Barbara Christine Helms, age 68, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Integris Grove General Hospital. Barbara was born on May 25, 1939 to Ora J. and Charity Bell (Butler) McKee in Vanceburg, Kentucky. Barbara was one of eleven children. She worked as a hospital Ward Clerk. She loved the beauty of nature, flowers, birds and animals. She was a loving mother that will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her three children, David Helms, Don Helms and Terri Blake and her husband Mark, one grandson, Nathan Blake and two great-grandchildren Chandler and Samantha Blake, brothers and sisters; Bill McKee, Irene Dubrul, Ruth Beals, and Bud McKee, June Plummer and Elvin Griffith Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Elaine Ginn. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2008, with Reverend Wayne Shaw officiating, at the Ellis Family Funeral Home, in Grove, Oklahoma. Interment will be held at Olympus Cemetery immediately following. Services have been entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
