Obituary: Victory Ollie (Riggs) Jenkins - Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK
NOVEMBER 11, 1918 ~ DECEMBER 26, 2011 (AGE 93)
Victory Ollie Jenkins, a long time Wyandotte resident, passed away at her home on Monday, December 26, 2011 at the age of 93. Victory was born on November 11, 1918 in Alluwee, Oklahoma to Charles G. and Grace O. (McKnight) Riggs. Mrs. Jenkins was a homemaker who loved to crochet and embroider, make dolls and work with her flowers. Victory worked in the Grove Public Schools as a cook for years as well as some of the local restaurants. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Grace, her Husband Leonard Jenkins, a son Lyle Don Blevins, a daughter Martha Becker, a brother Melvin Riggs and two sisters Ester Kubly and Nelda Hardy. Survivors include her children LeRoy & Bonnie Blevins of Broken Arrow, Larry& Ruth Blevins of Wyandotte, Leon & Pat Melton of Ft. Wayne, IN, Kay Westbrooks of Grove, Linda & Jack Bodenstein of Grove and Eunice & Leroy Conner of Grove. She was also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Victory will be 2:30 PM, Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove with Reverend Johnny Meriman officiating. Interment will follow in the Buzzard Cemetery in Grove under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
