Obituary: Nancy Irene (Baker) McEldowney - Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK
MAY 21, 1946 ~ OCTOBER 4, 2018 (AGE 72)
Nancy Irene McEldowney, 72 year old resident of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on October 4, 2018 at the Grandwood Assisted Living Center.
Nancy was born on May 21, 1946 in El Reno, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Raymond E. and Ida Irene (Slimp) Baker. Nancy was united in marriage to the love of her life, Billy Joe McEldowney, Sr., in December of 1977. Nancy was an accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed cross stitching, going to craft shows, shopping at Ross, taking photographs. But most of all, Nancy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She leaves behind her five children; Kelli Cackler and husband Kevin of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joe McEldowney, Jr and wife Kimberly of Jay, Oklahoma, Kimberly Hammond and husband Kenny of Neosho, Missouri, Cara Magruder of Anderson, Missouri and John McEldowney of Grove, Oklahoma. Nancy was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 pm, Sunday, October 7, 2018, services are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Monday, October 8, 2018 both at the Grove-Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Gary Bishop officiating. Nancy will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Olympus Cemetery.

Obituary: Billy Joe McEldowney Sr. - Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK
MAY 7, 1928 ~ NOVEMBER 19, 2009 (AGE 81)
On November 19, 2009 "Joe" McEldowney a loving husband, dad, grandpa and papa went home to be with the Lord ~ no more pain ~ no more suffering! Joe was born in Springfield, Missouri on May 7, 1928 and went "Home" on November 19, 2009. He has been a member of Independent Baptist Church in Grove since 1978. He moved to Grove from Phoenix, Arizona in 1975. He owned and operated Joes Muffler Shop in Grove for thirteen years. After retiring he worked as a people greeter and Santa Claus for Wal-Mart for a short time. Joe was very proud of serving his country in the United States Marine Corp and in the Korean War. At 81 years old he was still a Marine. "Once a Marine always a Marine!" Billy Joe was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister along with two grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Nancy McEldowney of the home, daughter Cara and family of Anderson, Missouri, son John and Family of Grove, daughter Kelli and family of Tahlequah, daughter Kimberly and family of Neosho, Missouri, and son Joe Jr. and family of Poteau, Oklahoma, twenty grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A sister Juanita of Carthage, Missouri and a niece Nellie and family of Carthage, Missouri, numerous great nephews and nieces and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Guy Ola and Ethel Grace McEldowney, five brothers, Claude, Robert, Jimmy, Lee and Jack. One sister Nellie Johnson. A Grandson Billy Joe and a granddaughter Kayla. Words could never express how much this man was loved, what a blessing he was and how much he will be missed by so many especially by his grandchildren with his endless stories. Visitation for Mr. McEldowney will be on Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday November 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Independent Baptist Church in Grove with Pastor Billy McEldowney Jr. and Pastor Marty Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Olympus Cemetery under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Casketbearers will be Billy McEldowney Jr., John McEldowney, Calvin Cackler, William Prine, Kevin Sean Cackler and Ron Chambliss. Honorary Casketbearers will be Danny Spruiell and Billy's grandsons.

Interment Details: Olympus Cemetery
