Obituary: L. Elizabeth Peterson - Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK

NOVEMBER 7, 1921 ~ MARCH 4, 2012 (AGE 90)

Elizabeth (Beth) Peterson, 90 of Grove, OK, was born on November 7, 1921 to Roe and Mattie (Glenn) Melton in Grove, OK. She passed away Sunday afternoon on March 4, 2012, surrounded by her family. Beth married Bill On-The-Hill in 1937 in Jay, Oklahoma. Together they had four daughters, Billie Meads and Jeri On-The-Hill Both of Grove, OK, Barbara O'Dwyer of Arizona City, AZ, and Mary Jo Dennis of Wheat Ridge, CO. She was blessed to have six generations. Beth married Don Peterson on May 24, 1952, and moved from Lamar, CO to Greeley, CO in 1954 where they resided until 1974, when they moved to Denver, CO. In 1995 they moved to Grove, OK to care for her sister, Anna Viles. Don preceded Beth on December 31, 1999. Beth is survived by her four daughters, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, twenty-seven great great grandchildren, and one great great great grandchild, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don, four brothers, Essie (Bunt), Ollie, Hershel, and James, three sisters, Opal Mc Clurg, Ora Wilson, and Anna Viles, and one grandson. On Beth's 80th birthday she joined the Elks Lodge and loved playing pool with "Chicks with Stix". Funeral services for Beth will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, March 7, 2012.  Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK.
