Don A. Turner 1929-2010

Don A. Turner, longtime resident of Fairland, Okla. died at home Monday afternoon, March 22, 2010, after a lengthy illness. He was 80.

Mr. Turner was born Nov. 11, 1929, at Claremore, Okla., to Ray and Delphia (Anderson) Turner. He was a graduate of Jay High School, class of 1947, and had earned a BS in Pharmacy. He was self-employed as a pharmacist, owning Turner Drug in Fairland for many years. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Lion's Club. He married Karen Neely on June 12, 1960, at Cherryvale, Kan. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Dawn and husband Argyl Hill of Hickory Grove, Trista and husband Steve Houser of Carl Junction, Mo., and Leisl Turner of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Kenneth "K.C." Bolding, Khyle Hill, and Addison Houser.

Burial was at Olympus Cemetery in Grove, Tuesday, March 23, 2010. A memorial service was at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2010, at First Christian Church, with Minister Bob Lyttle officiating.
