DEPARTMENT:      GMSA UTILITY OFFICE

POSITION: FULL-TIME UTILITY CLERK – Entry Level Office Position

SUMMARY:  UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE UTILITY SUPERINTENDENT, THE WATER & SEWER MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEE PERFORMS RESPONSIBLE DUTIES BY MAINTAINING A SAFE AND WORKING SYSTEM WITH GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP AND MAINTAINING ALL REQUIRED PAPERWORK. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIREMENTS: APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT; MUST HAVE VALID CLASS D DRIVERS LICENSE. MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.

DUTIES: UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT, THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR completing GMSA SERVICE ORDERS, CHECKING FOR LEAKS, FLUSHING HYDRANTS, READING METERS, SERVING AS BACK UP FOR THE AMR TECHNICIAN AND ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

The City of Grove is accepting applications for the position of a full-time GMSA Laborer position. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age, and must have a high school education or equivalent. Selected applicant must pass drug screening and physical. This position performs safety sensitive duties and selected applicant is subject to random drug screening. Starting Annual Salary: $33,280.00. The City of Grove is and Equal Opportunity Employer. The City of Grove is accepting applications for a full-time Mechanic.  Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  A minimum of three years experience in automotive and diesel repairs is preferred.  Selected applicant must pass pre-employment drug screening and physical.
