Contractor hits limestone causing Storm Siren install North of Sailboat Bridge to be delayed

When the City of Grove annexed highway 59 corridor north of Sailboat Bridge, a Service Plan was established. 

The Service Plan included the Emergency Management Department installing a storm siren in the newly annexed area.  Although, it has been difficult to receive materials in a timely manner, the siren and installation materials have arrived.  The installation of the storm siren began on September 6, 2023, due to contractor hitting solid limestone, the install is delayed until the week of September 12.

Grove officials traveled to Lake of the Ozarks last week to meet with officials of Lake of the Ozarks'  major town, Osage Beach, Missouri.  Just like Grove, Osage Beach is predominantly a resort town and boasts several tourist attractions.

Council approves Backyard Chickens

The City Council approved regulations for allowing Backyard Chickens in the City of Grove.  The Ordinance goes into effect on September 2, 2022.

VRH - City Council amends Regulations 2022

 

     Grove City Council amended the Ordinance regulating Vacation Rental Homes (VRH) located within the city limits.

Changes include:
Effective within 30 days of passage or Ordinance:      
      Removing requirement to obtain a Special Use Permit;
      Added requirements to VRH owner to notify neighbors within 300' of the proposed VRH;
