In addition to the six full-time employees, the Fire Department depends on its 20 Volunteer Firefighters.
TRAINING IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF A GOOD FIRE DEPARTMENT
To become a Firefighter, a person must train for 1500 hours, plus continue training and education each year. The various types of training include but are not limited to:
- Firefighter I and II
- Live Fires
- EVOC
- Ropes Rescue
- Swift Water Rescue
- Vehicle Extraction
- HazMat Operations
