Council approves Backyard Chickens

The City Council approved regulations for allowing Backyard Chickens in the City of Grove.  The Ordinance goes into effect on September 2, 2022.

VRH - City Council amends Regulations 2022

 

     Grove City Council amended the Ordinance regulating Vacation Rental Homes (VRH) located within the city limits.

Changes include:
Effective within 30 days of passage or Ordinance:      
      Removing requirement to obtain a Special Use Permit;
      Added requirements to VRH owner to notify neighbors within 300' of the proposed VRH;

Wall of Honor Nominations accepted through 9/1/2023

The City of Grove is accepting Nomination applications for the 2023 Wall of Honor.

 

This year's nominations will be accepted for Category 2:

     Was a resident of Grove after 1960;

     Was a resident of Grove for a minimum of ten (10) years;

     Contributed significant community service in a positive way  to the historical settlement;

     and/or development and growth;
     Provided a unique influence to the quality of life for our community;

SEWER SYSTEM SMOKE TESTING WILL BE DONE AGAIN ON MONDAY, AUGUST 1, 9:30 A.M. - 1:30 A.M.

Testing Areas include E 7th Street, E. 13th Street, S. Cherokee Street and S. Center Street.

GMSA Credit Card Fee Increasing July 1

Beginning July 1st - GMSA will charge 3% to take a utility payment/deposit/tap fees, etc. over the phone. The current fee is 2.5% and has been in place since 2013. It was time to make an increase to keep up with rising costs associated with accepting credit cards. As always, no fee to use a card in person with GMSA.
