City will pick up downed trees, limbs & branches beginning Sept. 4

oklahoma, grove, storms, high winds, trees damage

Beginning on Wednesday, September 4, City crews will begin picking up downed trees, limbs and branches that are placed along street curbs and right-of-way within the city limits of Grove.

City crews will begin on the east side of town and move generally east to west to pick up the tree limbs and branches.  City crews will not come onto private property to cut down or remove trees or limbs nor haul off other storm related trash or debris.

Prior to September 4, City crews will be concentrating on cleanup of city owned property and those locations where City crews had to push/remove trees and debris from streets after the storm on Monday, August 26.

Because of the amount of tree damage in some parts of the City, this process may take some time to complete and therefore we request your patience and assistance with this process by cutting trees, limbs, etc into sizes that can be easily handled (6 foot lengths or shorter) and do not pile limbs onto the street where they will interfere with traffic,

The City will NOT be opening the old limb yard at the WWTP to avoid problems with other trash and debris being dumped along with the tree limbs.
