Council Votes to Open more Facilities

At their  Regular Meeting Jun 2, 2020,  Council  voted to approve a Resolution to continue following Governor Stitt's  (OURS) Plan, with specific regulations for OPENING the City of Grove.

A summary of the Resolution include the following:

  • Safer at Home guidelines
  • Individual guidelines
  • Public Facilities - Open to the Public, using social distancing and subject to social gathering:
    • Tennis Courts
    • Skate Park
    • Walking Trails
    • Library - in compliance with the Eastern OK Library System regulations
    • Wolf Creek Park & Boating Facility - Individuals
    • Softball and Baseball Fields
    • Soccer Fields
    • Wolf Creek Park and Boating Facility
    • Splashpad - under maintenance, opens June 4
    • Parks and playground equipment
    • Basketball Courts
    • Swimming Pool - opens June 5
    • Civic Center - opens June 27
    • Senior Citizen's Center opens July 6
    • Community Center/City Hall - TBD

Public Meetings/Court.
Beginning June 1, 2020 the following meetings and court will resume their regular schedule while using social distancing and subject to social gathering:     

  • Convention and Tourism Meetings
  • Planning and Zoning Meetings
  • Grove Economic Development Meetings
  • Municipal Court
  • Public Services - will continue as is
  • Social Gathering - No more than 50 people allowed in a group

The Resolution remains in effect until June 16, 2020, at which time the Council will review and revise as deemed necessary for the health and safety of the citizens of Grove.
