The Community Development Team strives to make Grove a safer community for our residents and visitors by providing E911 Addressing & Mapping to make sure emergency vehicles can locate citizens in emergency situations.

Public Relations

CAMP BANDAGE CLOWNS

 

The Grove Fire Department provides several opportunities to educate the community in FIRE SAFETY!

  • Camp Bandage provides children with hands-on activities dealing with emergency situations
  • The Fire Clowns use the the Fire Safety House to demonstrate and allow children hands-on experience with smoke and fire, they make presentations to schools and other groups each year.

Volunteer In Police Services (VIPS)

VIPS Goals and Objectives

 

The VIPS Program provides support and resources for agencies interested in developing or enhancing a volunteer program and for citizens who wish to volunteer their time and skills with a community law enforcement agency. 

The VIPS ultimate goal is to
Enhance the capacity of state and local law enforcement to utilize the volunteers.

School Resource Officers

The Grove Police Department partners with Grove Public Schools and provides two School Resource Officers.  The cost of the officers is supplemented by the school district.  The School Resource Officer works in the schools five days a week during the school year. 

The Officers are responsible for answering calls and taking report at all four campuses.  Officers investigate incidents that occur on any of the campuses.  The Officers also teach DARE classes to students and instructs other educational programs.

Patrol Division

Grove residents and visitors are provided Police protection 24 hours per day. The Patrol Division is composed of uniformed Police Officers assigned to three major ten hour shifts:

  • First Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Second Shift: 5:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m.
  • Third Shift: 9:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
