City Code 8-201: Trash and weeds prohibited:  It shall be unlawful for any owner of property located within the municipal limits of Grove from allowing trash to accumulate, weeds to grow or stand on the premises, Ordinance No. 505.

Part-time Seasonal Lifeguards

The City of Grove is accepting applications for part-time seasonal lifeguards.  Applicants must have Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.  Applications are available at the City of Grove office, 104 W. 3rd Street, Grove, Oklahoma or on-line at www.cityofgroveok.gov.  Application deadline is Monday, May 1, 2017.  Salary is based on years of service, and starts at $8.25 per hour.  The City of Grove is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

PERSIAN GULF WAR VETERAN - The Gulf War (August 2, 1990 –  February 28, 1991), code named Operation Desert Shield (August 2, 1990 – January 17, 1991) for operations leading to the buildup of troops and defense of Saudi Arabia and Operation Desert Storm (January 17, 1991 – February 28, 1991) in its combat phase, was a war waged by coalition forces from 35 nations led by the United States against Iraq in response to Iraq's invasion and annexation of Kuwait.

IRAQ WAR VETERAN -  The Iraq War was a protracted armed conflict that began in 2003 with the invasion of Iraq by a United States-led coalition that toppled the government of Saddam Hussein.  The conflict continued for much of the next decade as an insurgency emerged to oppose the occupying forces and the post-invasion Iraqi government.  An estimated 151,000 to 600,000 or more Iraqis were killed in the first 3–4 years of conflict.  It became re-involved in 2014 at the head of a new coalition; the insurgency and many dimensions of the civil armed conflict continue.

United States Army 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment (Geronimo)

U. S. ARMY 509TH PARACHUTE INFANTRY REGIMENT (GERONIMO) -  The 509th Infantry Regiment is an airborne infantry regiment of the United States Army. Previously titled the 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment (509th PIR) was the first parachute infantry unit of the U.S. Army to make a combat jump during World War II.  Currently its 1st and 3rd battalions are active.  The 1st Battalion serves as the Opposing Force (OPFOR) at the Army's Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

United States Army 199th Infantry Brigade (Redcatchers)

U. S. ARMY 199TH INFANTRY BRIGADE (REDCATCHERS) -  The 199th Infantry Brigade (Light) is a unit of the United States Army which served in the Army Reserve from 1921–1940, in the active army from 1966 to 1970 (serving in the Vietnam War), briefly in 1991–1992 at Fort Lewis, and from 2007 as an active army training formation at Fort Benning.

United States Army Ranger

U. S. ARMY RANGER -   The U.S. Army Ranger history predates the Revolutionary War.  In the mid-1700s, Capt. Benjamin Church and Maj. Robert Rogers both formed Ranger units to fight during King Phillips War and the French and Indian War.  Rogers wrote the 19 standing orders that are still in use today.

U. S. AIR FORCE 98TH BOMB GROUP -  The 98th Operations Group is a component unit of the Nevada Test and Training Range, assigned to the United States Air Force Air Combat Command. The group is stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
