Is there a penalty if the violation is not corrected?
Yes. If you fail to correct the violation within ten (10) days of given notice, the City has the authority to have the property mowed and cleaned. The property owner will be invoiced for the actual costs plus a $225 Administrative Fee. Failure to keep the property mowed and cleaned within the next six months allows the City to abate the violation without any additional notice to the property owner, and costs plus administrative fees will be assessed against the property.
