SIGN PERMIT TOURIST ATTRACTION - DIRECTIONAL - ON-LINE APPLICATION
Tourist Attraction Directional Signs shall comply with Ordinance No. 582
Off-Premise Tourist Attraction Signs shall be allowed along Primary Arterial Streets within the city limits of Grove as identified and approved by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for placement of a Tourist Oriented Directional Sign provided:
- The identified Tourist Attraction is located such that any other permitted sign located on the premises is not visible from the Highway Corridor or Primary Arterial Street in both directions; and
- The Tourist Attraction identified must be located within the city limits and must have a current City of Grove Occupational License.
- Time Limit of Tourist Attraction Signs: Tourist Attraction Signs may be displayed upon receipt of Tourist Attraction Off-Premise Sign Permit, and shall be removed within ten (10) days after operations of said Tourist Attraction cease.
- Allowed Number of Tourist Attraction Signs: The least number of Tourist Attractions Signs necessary to direct traffic to the Tourist Attraction location as determined by the Sign Administrator.
- Maximum Height above Nearest Street Grade: Tourist Attraction Signs shall be placed on a single or dual pole as determined by the Sign Administrator not to exceed ten feet (10') in height.
- Maximum Display Area: Display Area and Design of the Tourist Attraction Signs shall be determined by the Sign Administrator.
- Location: Tourist Attraction Signs shall be placed in the city's right-of-way or easement, and shall allow for free and clear visibility with no obstruction to motorists or pedestrians.
- Construction and Maintenance: Construction and maintenance shall be performed by the City of Grove, at the Tourist Attractions expense.; AND Only the Tourist Attraction name and directional arrow will be displayed on the sign. EXCEPTIONS: Tourist Attraction Emblems and Logos may be displayed on the sign, as determined by the Sign Administrator.,
- Fees and Permits: A 'Tourist Attraction Off-Premise Sign Permit' must be completed and submitted to the Sign Administrator prior to sign installation.; AND Tourist Attraction owners will be responsible for the cost of each sign, installation, and an annual maintenance fee as determined by the Sign Administrator.
